Ticket Review for Rick

Goal #2 - The first shown here (along with #3) is the token/bookmark that lists 5 goals identified by each of the boys that they want to achieve by their mid 30s. Also included are the scout law, oath and motto. The names of all their fellow quorum/troop members and leaders have also been included along with the Aaronic Priesthood purposes that we have them recite on Sundays as part of our meeting time. The goal is that they will keep this in their scriptures througout their time with us and their young adulthood and refer to it regularly as both a memento of their time in scouting and a reminder of the vision they had for their own future.

#3 - This is the box with slides for each point of the law and the oath. It is designed to be kept at our meetinghouse where the crew leader or designated member will remove a slide and read that particular point to start each meeting or activity. The goal is to establish this as a routine that will remind them of their importance. Each young man will sign the inside lid of the box upon leaving the crew.

#4 - I sent you this several weeks ago. It is the transition/progress sheet that we use as the boys move from one quorum/group to the next. We've actually decided to keep it updated continually and use it in our meetings to assess the progress of each young man. It is a great way to keep us all using a consistent document and to ensure that we're staying on top of their progress.

#5 - This is a tracker for the religious award in each of the three age groups in our young mens program (Deacons/Scouts, Teachers/Varsity, Priests/Venture). Each group has their own requirements in the areas indicated (Family, Quorum, Spiritual, Physical, Education/Career, Community and a service project) to complete during their 2 years in each group. This will help both the boys and leaders keep track of their progress in a visible way. These will also be kept at our meeting house and are reusable with velcro. They have the boy's names velcroed on and track their progress until they advance. We will review and update this on the first Sunday of the month.

The only thing missing at this point is goal #1 - the book of stories. I've got some additional editing and story adding to do. I hope to have it in your hands soon.
